Our Team

Tom is married with three children. His wife is Christina and their children are Isaiah, Trinity, and Asher. Tom has been in the insurance industry since 2012 and started with AIC in August of 2018. Tom was born and raised in the Jenison area and enjoys golfing, distance running, and umpiring little league baseball. He loves insurance because he loves finding solutions for people to help them get the coverages they need. He and his family love to visit Frankfurt, MI, and outside the office Tom is the Georgetown Little League Board President, coaches his daughter, and is working on qualifying for the Boston Marathon.

Derek and his wife Ally reside in Caledonia and he was born and raised in Grand Rapids. Derek has been in the insurance industry since 2018 and started with AIC in May of 2022. He loves insurance because everyone needs it and everyday is something new. He enjoys meeting new people and the challenge of finding them the best solutions. In college, Derek was a swimmer, and later a Division 1 swim coach. These days he is an avid scuba diver, photographer and enjoys exercising. One of his favorite travel destinations is Key West.

Samantha, her husband Nathan, and their son Lucas reside in Lowell. Samantha has been with AIC since 2018, and has a background in hospitality and sales. She does a little bit of everything including handling claims follow up, referrals, being a liaison, and serving clients well. Samantha loves being part of the insurance industry because it affords her the privilege of helping to take care of people when they need it the most. She loves being outside; hiking, swimming, spending time with family and friends. Her favorite places to travel are St. Lucia, anywhere in Northern Michigan and Ireland. After working in the restaurant industry for over a decade, Samantha love crafting cocktails and chatting about wine.
